Advent IV Sunday Worship, Dec. 19, 2021
Please join us for our Service of Holy Eucharist on the Fourth Sunday in Advent, December 19 at 10:00 am. Our readings are Micah 5:2-5a, Hebrews 10:5-10, and Luke 1:39-45. The Rev. Chris Easthill will be presiding and preaching. The bulletin is here. You can join this service either in church, or live online via YouTube live. All you have to do is follow this link. The Livestream will start at 9.45 am.
Due to current conditions Sunday school has already begun its Christmas break. Our creche/nursery service for the younger children will however continue to be offered until today, Dec. 19.
Please note that based on the new regulations and recommendations in Hessen documentary proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative antigen test (3G rule) is now required to attend all church services. Documentary proof can be the electronic (QR code in one of the Covid Apps) or paper (vaccination certificate or booklet), through electronic proof is preferred. A self-test is not adequate. Please have these ready on arrival to avoid delays. Thank you!
If you are coming to the service, please download the bulletin to your phone or tablet, if you can, as we are printing fewer paper bulletins to avoid wastage. Please also remember to bring and use a medical mask (OP or FFP2), which now have to be worn throughout the service.
If you want to include prayers for yourself or another during the Prayers of the People at any of our services, please send me an email

Christmas Flowers
There will be no flower dedications during Advent, instead a special collection is made for the Christmas Flowers. You are invited to make a donation, however small, towards the cost. There are special Christmas Donation envelopes (on the notice board at the back of the church). Please fill in your name and place in the collection plate.
Stewardship
We invite all members of the congregation to support the mission and ministry of St. Augustine’s. To pledge, you can fill in a form (available from the ushers) or just send an email to pledge@stagustines.de giving us the amount (and frequency i.e. weekly, monthly, annually) of your pledge.
Christmas Closing
The parish office is closed from Dec. 24 until January 4. The Sunday school and our creche/nursery service will both return on Sunday January 16.
