Compline – also known as Complin, Night Prayer, or the Prayers at the End of the Day – is the final church service (or office) of the day in the Christian tradition of canonical hours, which are prayers at fixed times throughout the day. The English word is taken from Latin meaning “the completion of the working day” and the service is typically very contemplative.
