Holy Week and Easter Services
We ask that you register in advance for (one or more of) our Holy Week and Easter Services .The form for all services is here. The Easter Sunday service is already fully booked, but there is still space for the Easter Vigil (which is the first Eucharist of Easter).
If you register, you can join all the other services at church, currently we have spaces left for Good Friday and the Great Vigil of Easter. You can also join live online (via Facebook Live). You should be able to go straight to the Livestream using this link (even if you do not have a Facebook account – just ignore any attempts to make you register)! Should that not work, please go to our Facebook page here and scroll down until you find the Livestream, which we will start at 15 minutes before the service.
Good Friday 2nd April: Good Friday Liturgy with Veneration of the Cross and Communion from the Reserved Sacrament at 12:00 noon. The order of service is here and the Passion Gospel from John, that will be read in parts is here.
The retiring collection on Good Friday traditionally goes to support the Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East as a tangible connection between Christians in the Episcopal Church and the Christians throughout the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East who welcome our prayers, advocacy and financial support for their ministries of education, health care, pastoral care and hospitality. If you are not coming to the service, but would like to donate to this cause, you can also transfer an amount to the church, please just write “GFO” in the reference field of your transfer form.
Saturday 3rd April Great Vigil of Easter: 9:00 pm. The order of service is here.
Easter Sunday 4th April: Festive Service at 10:00 am. The bulletin is here. We will flower the cross again this year, but in front of the church, before the service (one by one, with appropriate distancing). There will be flowers available, but we welcome you bringing cut flowers with you. The Cross will then be brought forward to the Chancel before the Peace.
