Sunday Worship November 15, 2020
Please join us for worship on Sunday, November 15 at 10.00 am. Our readings are Zephaniah 1:7,12-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 and Matthew 25:14-30. Rev. Chris Easthill will be celebrant, the Rev. Dr. Terri King our preacher. The order of service is here.
We have a creche/nursery care facility available during the Sunday service for younger children up to 3 years old.
Sunday school is online (Zoom) for the time being, using this link (it’s a repeated meeting, so it will be the same link each week). If called for, the meeting-ID is 220 725 285 and the Password: 435261
You can join our worship services either in church, or live online (via Facebook Live). You should be able to go straight to the Livestream using this link (even if you do not have a Facebook account – just ignore any attempts to make you register)! Should that not work, please go to our Facebook page here and scroll down until you find the Livestream, which we will start at 9.45 am (the service will start at the usual time of 10.00 am).
If you want to include prayers for yourself or another during the Prayers of the People at any of our services, please send an email

Stewardship
We invite all members of the congregation to support the mission and ministry of St. Augustine’s. Here are the letter, fact sheet and commitment form from our 2021 campaign, or you can just send an email to pledge@staugustines.de giving us the amount (and frequency i.e. weekly, monthly, annually) of your pledge.
Christmas Bazaar Postponed
Unfortunately, the city will not give us a permit for our bazaar in November, due to the current regulations cancelling all “leisure” events until the end of the month. Our current plan is to have two shorter and smaller events on December 5 and 12, perhaps also including an online component. But this will depend on how the Covid-19 infection level develops, and what decisions the government takes. We hope things will be clearer by the middle of November: watch this space!
Virtual Advent Calendar.
This calendar will be published on our website and Facebook page. Each day, we want to feature a contribution from one of you. This can be a photograph of your Advent decorations at home, a photograph of nature, or a photograph of an artwork you (or your kids) created. Please send your contributions to the parish office by Friday November 27
Christmas Boxes
For some years now we have been making Christmas (shoe) boxes with Christmas gifts for children in Romania. If you would like to take part, please fill your shoe boxes with selected items from this list. Please bring your (wrapped and packed) shoe boxes to church on Sunday, November 29 (Advent I).
Christmas Concert: “I’ll be home for Christmas”
This has been rescheduled to Sunday December 20 at 18:00 and 20:00 (tickets 15€). Tickets from Deborah Cole or the office
