Virtual Advent Calendar
Advent this year will probably be a little more low-key, and even trying at times, due to the Corona pandemic. We would like to bring light and joy into each other’s lives with a virtual Advent Calendar. This calendar will be published on our website and Facebook page. Each day, we want to feature a contribution from one of you. This can be a photograph of your Advent decorations at home, a photograph of nature, or a photograph of an art work you (or your kids) created. Please also write a few lines to let us know what this photograph means to you, what it says about God’s love, or how it relates to a verse of Scripture that you like.
We are hoping to gather 24 contributions from all of you before the 1st of December. If we get more, we will continue our calendar into the Christmas season. We hope that in particular the children and teenagers in our community, and those who can or are not leaving their homes much at present, will participate. The Advent Calendar is meant as a way of bringing us together even while we are physically apart. And it shall remind us to keep each other in our prayers. Please send your contributions to the parish office by Friday, November 27.
