St. Augustine’s often offers either a Parish Lenten Retreat at a monastry or retreat house near Wiesbaden as well as pilgrimages that included a trip to the Holy Land in 2016, and to Canterbury as well as to Lutherstadt Wittenberg (and other Reformation sites) in 2017, to Rome 2019 and to the cathedrals and monasteries of Yorkshire in 2025. Our 2026 pilgrimage was to Ephesus and The Seven Churches of Revelation from 10 – 17 April 2026 beginning and ending in Izmir (ancient Smyrna).

Next year we are planning a combined outreach mission trip and pilgrimage to Romania.

Topics at the Parish Lenten Retreats have included “Do not be afraid!” (2017), “Feeling the Spirit: Examining our Own Lives” (2018), “Rehearsing Scripture: Discovering God’s Word in Community” (2019), and 2022 “On Retreat with Thomas Merton.”
