Faith, food and fellowship – a great way to celebrate!

Once a year we worship “offsite.” After an open air service in the church garden we enjoy a time of fellowship at our annual picnic.

Other “faith, food and fellowship” events include our annual Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, our Simple Supper on Maundy Thursday, and our Coffee Hour every Sunday.

A brief word about our Coffee Hour. The coffee hour serves several purposes, like promoting the growth of our congregation by providing a space to welcome and socialize with visitors and newcomers. It strengthens the bonds of our own church community and gives us all an opportunity to converse, express joys and concerns and just catch up on each other’s lives. And last but definitely not least, it’s always incredibly delicious.

Our coffee hour is a form of ministry.

We always need volunteers to help. We have support teams for small specific tasks, none of which require more than 45 minutes every couple of weeks. The support teams are:

• Setup support – time requirement 30 minutes: you help setup the table and bring up supplies and offerings from the kitchen
• Serving support – time requirement 40 minutes: you assist us with serving the food. It’s a great way to interact with each and every person in line.
• Cleanup support – time requirement 45 minutes: help bring dirty dishes and serving utensils back down to the kitchen, tidy up the table and help dry and put away dishes after the 60 second dishwasher cycle.
• Baking support – you bring your offering “ready to serve” by 9:45.

You can select the precise type of support you are willing to provide and sign up for specific Sundays. Please know that every little time contribution helps immensely.
