Worship on Sunday 28 September

Please join us for our Service of Holy Eucharist on Sunday, 28 September at 10:00 am. The readings are Jeremiah 32:1-3a, 6-15, 1 Timothy 6:6-19, and Luke 16:19-31. Rev. Chris Easthill is presiding and Greg Rampinelli preaching. During “Ordinary Time” on most Sundays we will use a seasonal bulletin (here) that we will (re-)use for 4 – 6 weeks and a weekly service and notice sheet (here) with the readings, hymns, and current announcements. This week we recognize the German national holiday: Day of German Unity. The livestream link is here.

We have Sunday school and our creche/nursery service during the service.

Mainz Ministry:

Our services are at 5:00 pm on the fourth Sunday of the month. Our next service in Mainz is this Sunday 28 September.
Our full communion partners, the Old Catholic Church, also offer worship on the second Sunday of each month, but beginning in January at 3.30 pm in the Karmeliterkirche in Mainz (Karmeliter Str. 7).

Beginning in August, the Peace Prayer in Mainz will move to a new monthly schedule, with a focus on special events and commemorations. This year they will be:

  • Fr. 24.10. – Peace of Westfalia (1648) at 5.00 pm
  • Wed.12.11. – Friedensdekade at 5.00 pm
  • Wed. 17.12. – Bethlehem Peace Light (and Hanukkah) at 5.00 pm

If you want to include prayers for yourself or another during the Prayers of the People at any of our services, please send an email.
